Mrs. Isani was somewhat of a trailblazer. Her father saw to it that his daughter had the best of educations, and she went on to graduate with honours from University of Beirut. She joined St. Patrick’s High School after an illustrious career at the Karachi Grammar School. She stayed on and was loyal to St. Patrick’s High for the most part of 25 years. An innate Teacher of English Literature, she also guided students with their University applications, and went on to be a worthy Student Counsellor, helping our Patricians to their bright futures, in Ivy League Universities, especially the Harvard University, the MIT, Oxford, Cambridge, and many other prestigious places of learning. Her indelible mark will always be on and with her students; her calm, graceful demeanour forever etched into the memories of all, those who crossed paths with. Her colleagues at St. Patrick’s have always admired and appreciated her wisdom, caring and fortitude.
I, personally, hold her as a mentor and a guide, and was privy to her regular calls as she transitioned away from school, wanting to know that the school was fine, and aspiring for even greatness! She was extremely close to her Literature group of students, suffice it to say they are all devastated at her loss. Beacause of her father’s foresight, her education promised the brightest of futures for so many students of both the KGS and St. Patrick’s High School. They must now carry on forward, remembering her and trying to live up to the dream she had for them.
May this brave, graceful lady rest now in God’s Eternal Peace. Amen
Mr. William Henderson
