Our Section High Achievers
Dear Students, Staff and friends,
When I was appointed as the Section Head of Afternoon Matric Section in 2010, my vision was to make Afternoon Matric one of the best sections on the campus of St. Patrick’s High School. The aim is to inculcate the ideals of being a Patrician so that they may bring a positive impact wherever they may be in life.
This vision would not have been achieved without the efforts of my dedicated team members. Each one of them is diligent and always ready to lend a helping hand. Each individual has different abilities and their abilities are tapped into and used to their optimum level.
Our challenge is to achieve 100% results in the board exams; and so the whole section – our teachers and students are working very hard to achieve this goal. We have achieved the highest percentage in the S.S.C Part-1 Examinations 2017 on campus with 91%. We hope to get even closer to our goal in the 2018-2019 session.
Our section is blessed with disciplined and talented students. They have made our section proud by winning the Annual Athletics Meet trophy and the Inter-Section Basketball Tournament for three consecutive years 2015-2016, 2016-2017, and 2017-2018. We hope the next batch too continues this legacy of their predecessors in defending the title of ‘Champions’.
The Afternoon Matric Section primarily works under the vision statement of the CBEK and St. Patrick’s High School. It aims to achieve the best results in the annual board examinations. We have a team of dedicated teachers who endeavour to instil our students with life-long knowledge. Here, we do not only focus on the child’s academics, but also help them become useful citizens with high morals when dealing with the challenges of life.
We stress on the understanding of subject matter areas and create meaningful learning experiences. We focus on personal social development, language and literacy, basic mathematical concepts, general knowledge, health, hygiene & safety and the creative arts.
