It is a great news to announce that in a meeting chaired by the principal Dr. Margaret Madden, a new house named “Henderson” has been introduced from this academic year 2018-2019. Now St. Patrick’s High School (Afternoon Matric) have 4 houses (Cordeiro, Raymond, Lobo and Henderson)
Bake sales are usually held quarterly in a year.
St Patrick’s High School is located in Saddar Town, Karachi, Pakistan. The institution is the one of the oldest in the city and is held in high esteem across the globe. Established on May 6, 1861, it was founded and managed by the Society of Jesus for almost 75 years after which The Order of Friars Minor (Franciscans) took charge. The school was officially registered as a high school in 1867. Since 1950, it has been run by the diocesan clergy of the Archdiocese of Karachi. Our first Pakistani principal was Fr. Stephen Raymond, who was an Alumnus of the school.
Education at St. Patrick’s begins at ECCE (Early Childhood Care and Education) – Kindergarten – and carries on till Matriculate (HSC), or CAIE Advanced Level (Cambridge).
For over 150 years, we have served the people of the sub-continent and Pakistan by providing accessible education without discrimination. Patricians have made their mark all around the world, contributing in numerous ways to the progress and betterment of society. The School has produced well-known leaders and public figures, entrepreneurs, social workers, civil society leaders, top-class sportspeople and athletes, high-ranking officers in the Armed Forces, and politicians.
St. Patrick’s High School is indeed an institution, continuing to progressively educate without bias and instill a value-system that aims at elevating Pakistan to new heights around the globe.
The School is owned by the Roman Catholic Church (Archdiocese of Karachi) and managed by the Catholic Board of Education Karachi in Pakistan.

The purpose of the House System is to involve students in school activities and service. We hope to encourage students to have a positive attitude toward teachers and rules, have better academic performance and feel better about them self. The House System brings energy and promotes school spirit in our school students.
St. Patrick’s High School is a community of learners and the House system aims to reflect these core values.
The Houses compete in a number of sporting and academic activities for points. The winning House receives the House trophy/shield and certificates.
The House system is an integral and vibrant part of the school’s culture. St. Patrick’s High School has four “Houses”.
The Upper Cambridge Section of St. Patrick’s High School comprises:
- Year X – Cambridge (Ordinary Level – Year One)
- Year XI – Cambridge (Ordinary Level – Year Two)
- Year XII- Cambridge (Advanced Level – First Year)
- Year XIII – Cambridge (Advanced Level – Second Year)
We offer the following subject groups tailored to meet the admission requirements of local (IBCC) and foreign universities:
The section is recognized by the Directorate of Cambridge Advanced International Examinations through their local representative: the British Council Karachi. The school is registered with the Education Testing Service (ETS) in New Jersey, USA , which administers the TOEFL tests. Our code is 8051. The school is also registered with ATP College Board for the SAT I and SAT II tests. Our code is 690180.
